Playtime Pals are Year 5 and 6 pupils who help children at lunchtime in the playground. They help support the dinner ladies by bringing younger children back into the school if they need the toilet or require first aid. They also pick up litter, set up games and equipment and teach the younger pupils games and songs.
Being a librarian is vital for a smooth running library. We want everyone to have an enjoyable experience when they visit. Working hard *we, as librarians, keep our school library clean and tidy to promote a welcoming environment. With ideas flowing, our library is up to date with the latest books and comfortable furniture.
To be a school council member is a real privilege. When the class votes were counted and we found out that we had been chosen we felt surprised and honoured. We know it is a responsible and important job and it feels like we make things happy for the other pupils.
The Green Team is a group of representatives from each class in the school from Years 1 to 6. We meet to co-ordinate and promote Eco Schools activities. So far we have achieved our Silver Award and we are now working towards our Green Flag. So far this year we have delivered assemblies to the whole school and worked with Swindon Borough Council to organise a Walk To School event, where around 200 people walked to school and were rewarded with a free breakfast. One of our main projects for the rest of this year is to find ways we can save energy around our school.
