The Nativity Story

The Nativity

Children in Reception have been working extremely hard recently to get ready for our Christmas Performance of A King is Born at the end of their first big term at Lawn Primary School.

We have spent the week familiarising ourselves with the Christmas story. We have enjoyed listening to the story and have loved retelling and acting it out in out using the masks and the props! The children have produced some fabulous story sequencing of the story, working hard to hear and write the initial sounds whilst describing the main events in the story.

Take a look at our learning from across the week!

Acting out the story

Making animals from the stable using play dough and loose parts

Creating 'Starry night' pictures

Using Nativity characters in the Small World Area

And writing about the missing Gold from the stable!

We cannot wait to perform our Nativity, A King is Born to you all!
